WoM – Pandemic Christmas Edition: Angel’s Delight

Tonight’s cocktail is a repeat from 2011. It has the color, the texture, and the almost the taste of that liquid antibiotics I used to take as a kid, though I think that I prefer the antibiotics to this cocktail.

Angel’s Delight

• 3/4 oz. gin
• 3/4 oz. triple sec
• 1 oz cream
• 2-3 dashes grenadine

• In a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes, pour the gin, triple sec, cream, and grenadine.
• Shake well and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

I used Hendrick’s Midsummer Solstice special edition gin this time. I used half-and-half instead of full cream. As in 2011, I still have no idea what a “dash” is. I put in about 1½ lid-full.

I’m as perplexed about this cocktail as I was 9 years ago. Maybe if someone finds the perfect-match gin it works. I’m not sure I’d be willing to try again though, unless I need a pretty pink cocktail.
