WoM – Pandemic Christmas Edition: Toblerone Cocktail

Posted in Mixology at 20:57 by Kathleen

I was pretty excited about this one. I was expecting a big boozy milkshake. It was a boozy milkshake, but it wasn’t big. How can 3 scoops of ice cream vanish into such a small volume? Forever a mystery.

  • Chocolate powder (garnish)

You won’t need a “large cocktail glass”.

Instead of chocolate syrup I used hot fudge. Maybe for looks the syrup would work better, but for taste, that fudge was great. But the garnish over all is a bit lack luster. I wonder if “fudging” or “syruping” the rim of the glass and dipping in the powder wouldn’t work better, for look and for taste. Something to try next time.

As for taste, it’s good. Somewhat generic, which I don’t quite understand. I’m not sure which of the liqueur ends up dominating, but certainly the Frangelico was lost.

All and all, it is a decent dessert cocktail, a small boozy milkshake.
