WoM – Tropical Christmas Edition: Tropical Christmas Cocktail
Here we go again. Christmas in Hawaii. The first cocktail of this year’s Week of Mixology Christmas edition will have a tropical tone. Or at least I hope. Today’s cocktail is the Tropical Christmas Cocktail.

Rim the glass with salt mixed with bits of basil.
Muddle the basil leaves in a shaker, and add ice and the liquid ingredients, except the sparkling water. Shake well. Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice. Top with the sparkling water. Garnish with a leaf of basil.
Well, I have to say that the Tropical Christmas Cocktail is neither tropical nor Christmassy. It was not very exciting either. The look of the drink is murky and dirty. A bit more sparkling water might help. Some grenadine maybe? I don’t know, I’m not sure I want to figure it out. That cocktail just does not work for me.
