WoM – Tropical Christmas Edition: Santa’s Tropical Vacation Cocktail

Today’s cocktail is a the type of cocktails to drink on a sunny Christmas afternoon in Hawaii while the dinner is cooking. Simple, refreshing.

Santa’s Tropical Vacation Cocktail

  • 1 ½ ounces Vodka
  • 2 ounces Guava Nectar
  • 2 ounces Cranberry Ginger Ale

In a cocktail shaker, shake the guava nectar and the vodka together with ice. Strain over ice into a glass and top the cranberry ginger ale. Garnish with a slice of starfruit.

I couldn’t find Cranberry Ginger Ale anywhere. I replaced it with ½ ounces of cranberry juice with 1 ½ ounces of normal ginger ale. Since it is starfruit season, it was easy to get the garnish. Our small tree produces so many starfruits.

The first drink I did shake the vodka, nectar and cranberry juice in a shaker. Honestly, I don’t really see the point. The second serving, yes, it was good and I had another, I mixed straight in the glass.
